Jace?

Those of you who have been in my class for the last two years know how much I love The Mortal Instruments series and specifically Jace.  Jamie Campbell-Bower (see left) has been cast to play Jace in the movie.  I'm not sure if I see it yet, but in her blog, MI author Cassandra Clare sings his praises.  Cassandra Clare's blog  She is the inventor of Jace, and I trust her writing.  Still, I'm not sure.  What do you guys think?

Storm Warning 39 Clues Book 9

I have to be honest.  For a while, the 39 Clues books somewhat lost my interest.  It was like "Oh no.  Amy and Dan trusted the wrong person, and bad things happened.  Again."  In Storm Warning, Linda Sue Park really took the story to a different place, not just because we went to Jamaica, but because the story had different twists and turns.  Can Amy and Dan really trust Nellie?  What is the deal with the Madrigals?  What were Amy and Dan's parents really up to all those years?  In this book, readers begin to see Grace's master plan in action, with the addition of new characters and some surprising twists with old ones.  This was a great book to get me back into this series!

Dead is not an Option "Dead is" Book 5

Drama continues to swirl around Daisy Giordano.  One of her sisters is dating a werewolf, and the other is dating a vampire, which makes things tense.  Then when werewolf kids and vampires start getting attacked around town, things get worse.  There's even talk of cancelling the senior prom!  Will Daisy be able to solve who's behind the attacks and keep her family together?  What will happen when she and Ryan graduate from Nightshade High?  Will she ever free Lil and Balthazar?  Read the 5th installment in the Dead is series, Dead is not an Option.
